TB Journal Club – March and April

There will be no TB journal club in March. We will be going to the joint UCL/LSHTM World TB Day event on 24 March, instead. See you there!

In April, join us to discuss an interesting American paper attempting to estimate rates of TB reactivation in aggregate as well as subgroups of the population. Latency, progression, molecular typing, model parameterisation and policy implications – it should be good!

Shea et al. Estimated Rate of Reactivation of Latent Tuberculosis Infection in the United States, Overall and by Population Subgroup. Am J Epidemiol. 2014; 179(2): 216–225. [available here]

Presenter – Rein Houben, LSHTM
Chair – Emilia Vynnycky, LSHTM
Venue – Lucas Room (LG81), London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, Keppel Street
Time – 4-5pm on 10 April (followed by drinks in the LSHTM bar)

External attendees should try to arrive a few minutes early, as they will need to sign in. LG81 is on the lower ground floor – maps and directions available here.
